Try out our Sunday Art Club — a fun, welcoming one-hour session for ages 6+ to 99 years! Perfect for solo artists, adults, children, families, grandparents - Everyone!
Each class is fully guided by a qualified, DfE-registered Art & Design teacher with decades of experience. You’ll learn to draw from scratch, explore a range of materials, and pick up the best tips and tricks that really work!
Sessions take place on Sundays across Wigan and Chorley, with something new to enjoy each time.

Highland Cow

Join us for a relaxed and creative evening painting your very own Highland Coo! Using acrylics on canvas, you'll be guided step by step by an experienced art and design teacher. No previous painting skills needed – just follow along as we explore brushwork, colour mixing, layering, and simple colour theory to bring your cow to life. No freehand drawing required.
🌸 Want to personalise your masterpiece? Add a flower crown, a meadow backdrop, or keep it simple and bold – the choice is yours. You'll be taken through every step of the way.
This session is perfect for adults, but teens are welcome too. All materials are provided – just bring your sense of fun.

Join Julia from Mino Art School for a relaxed evening of painting, grazing and drinks at the lovely Poet’s Corner in Wigan.
We’ll be creating a fresh, vibrant lemon-inspired canvas in acrylics, with crisp colours, simple shapes and a clean Mediterranean feel. Think zesty yellows, leafy greens, bold background stripes and your own choice of colour palette to make the design completely your own.
This session is fully guided step-by-step, so no experience is needed. Julia will show you each stage clearly, with lots of support throughout.
The painting is designed to be stylish, achievable and really enjoyable, leaving plenty of time afterwards to sit back, enjoy the delicious graze table from Poet’s Corner, have a drink, chat, and admire everyone’s finished canvases as they dry.
Poet’s Corner is an intimate, welcoming venue with wonderful hosts, Alison and Mark, making it the perfect setting for a creative summer evening.
All materials are provided, including canvas, paints, brushes and apron.

A fresh summer sip & paint evening in full acrylics on A3 premium stretched canvas.
We’ll be painting a vibrant coastal landscape filled with sparkling turquoise sea light, grassy dunes, a sandy pathway and delicate wildflowers scattered through the foreground.
Think cerulean blue, turquoise, deep ultramarine, fresh yellow-greens, warm sandy neutrals, lilac, sea-pink and crisp white highlights.
Fully guided step-by-step by Julia from Mino Art School, so no experience is needed. Suitable for beginners onwards, with every stage demonstrated clearly.

Studio Botanical Workshop
Mino Studio, Standish

Fine Art & Textiles
Step into the studio for an afternoon of colour, texture and creative exploration.
Inspired by contemporary artists and textile makers, we'll combine paint, print, fabric and stitch to create a richly layered mixed-media artwork full of luminous colour, expressive mark-making and beautiful surface detail.
This is a workshop for curious, creative minds. A chance to experiment, take risks and enjoy the process of making in a relaxed studio environment.
Working with watercolours, dyes, acrylics, fabrics, papers and stitch, you'll build a unique composition that evolves through layering, printing, collage and embroidery. No two outcomes will ever be the same.
Everyone will complete a framed artwork presented in a 33cm square frame, with the frame becoming part of the final composition. There will also be opportunities to create smaller studies and samples for sketchbooks and future projects.
No freehand drawing is required. Up-close demonstrations and guidance are provided throughout.
Perfect for anyone who enjoys colour, textiles, mixed media, embroidery, printmaking and contemporary artists

Introducing our new Mino Art School Life Drawing Club at The Brocket Arms, Wigan.
A supportive, guided drawing session with a live nude model, suitable for complete beginners and more experienced artists.
At Mino Art School, real freehand drawing sits at the heart of what we do. Sometimes wobbly, sometimes wonky, always individual, drawing is where confidence grows and skills begin to develop.
Led by Julia, a qualified and experienced Art & Design teacher, this is a relaxed but focused session, with structure, for anyone wanting to try life drawing or returning artists building regular creative practice.
Drawing materials are provided along with paper, and you’re very welcome to bring your own sketchbooks and folders.

Swiss Mountain Bloom

Be guided step by step to create your own beautiful Alpine Meadow canvas, inspired by the soft, layered landscapes and wildflower colours of the Swiss Alps.
Working with rich acrylics on canvas, you’ll build the painting gradually, from the misty mountain backdrop through to the meadow foreground, using beautiful tones of cornflower blue, periwinkle, lavender, violet, soft sage and touches of buttercup yellow. Inspired by alpine blooms such as cornflowers, harebells and meadow wildflowers, this is a gorgeous piece to paint and a relaxing one to lose yourself in.
